I'm going to start this blog with a disclaimer: I did not like this place, at all. "But Mark," I hear you shouting, "Then why should I even bother reading this?" About Us

Are you somebody who cares about the City of Tampa? Are you excited to hear about the new things coming? Looking for something new to do? Just looking to find out about some upcoming events? Then you found the right blog! Our sole goal here at Exploring Tampa is to ensure that you are aware about everything going on in this city and to show you all of the unique happenings you didn't know we had.

I know what you're thinking, "Mark, what makes you qualified to talk about Tampa?" That's easy! I'm a lifelong Tampa resident who has heard that "Tampa's a boring city" since I went to high school. I took a couple of years off before starting college, and once I got into college, I heard that same trite phrase. That's when it hit me. Tampa can't be that boring, can it? I have spent the last three years of my life dedicated to showcasing everything that Tampa has to offer. Things to do, cool events, local history. I have met with some of the most powerful people in the city to discuss the going ons in the city.

As stated above, my name is Mark and I am a lifelong Tampa resident. I am a current student at the University of South Florida and a graduate of Hillsborough Community College. My favorite neighborhood in Tampa is Seminole Heights and my favorite area to hang around in is Ybor City. If you watch my YouTube channel (shameless plug) you'll see both my girlfriend, Stormy, and high school friend, Chris, join me on my adventures.
