Parks & Rec: No, not the TV show

Well, at least it's not the 80's.

I'm going to start this blog with a disclaimer: I did not like this place, at all. "But Mark," I hear you shouting, "Then why should I even bother reading this?" Because I feel like there is a market for it. And a dude in his 30's who enjoys craft beer and more intimate spaces most definitely is not their target audience.

Branching off of the popular Downtown St. Pete bar of the same name, Parks & Rec Tampa opened in (as far as I can see) 2019. The bar covers an outdoor area, mainly used for giant beer pong and Jenga, an indoor area with a handful of arcade games and a DJ, complete with TV's showing ESPN (because, of course you would), and an upstairs second story with pool tables, air hockey, and a few more games. Welcome to the first edition of a new series on this website. The Exploring Tampa Weekly Picks are a few destinations with a new theme every week of places that we think you should check out. These will not be full on reviews. Mainly just pictures with a few words underneath with some suggestions. This week's edition is sweets, and we have three places that we think you should check out. Specialty:            Ice Cream.
Our Picks:           Milkshakes. Especially the Eurotrash and Banana Pudding mix.
Best Time to go: Later in the evening, after dinner.
Seating:               Limited.
Parking:               Also limited.

Location:          2602 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33629
Specialty:            Pastries.
Our Picks:           Boston Creme Filled Doughnut.
Best Time to go: There's never a bad time!
Seating:               Very spacious, but limited seating.
Parking:               Multiple lots, all limited.

Location:          2109 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33629
Specialty:            Doughnuts.
Our Picks:           Blueberry Doughnut, best on Sundays.
Best Time to go: Mornings for breakfast.
Seating:               Limited seating (this place gets very busy).
Parking:               Very small lot.
